ONLY 30 spots: 1st come 1st serve basis on arrival with a valid booking.
- Gate opens at 8 am for Day Visitors with a valid booking and you need to be out the Resort by 6 pm (No entry after 4 pm).

Booking essential via our website ONLY at least 1 day before arrival.
You cannot book for the same day you wanting to visit. - No walk-ins or Group bookings accepted anymore.
- A Maximum of 10 people and 2 vehicles (PAX 12) per picnic spot (Kids under 5 years are free).
Rates per Person: - R 50.00 per Person – (Out of Season)
- R 80.00 per Person – (In/Peak Season 16 Dec – 10 Jan)
- R 50 per vehicle (2 vehicles per spot)
- NO PETS allowed. (Sorry not even cute small ones!)
- No Day Visitors to the Units or Camping sites are allowed to the overnight guests.
How to book a Picnic spot:
- Click the green button above and a new page will open.
- Complete all the required information then you will be prompted to pay the FULL amount to confirm your booking.
- The time slots are for booking purposes only – you are welcome to arrive any time after 8 am.
- Use the Credit Card option for Payment. (Debit Cards work the same as Credit Card).
- Once booking is completed you will receive 2 x emails. 1 with a reference number confirming your booking and another 1 for payment confirmation.
Once the Picnic spot is booked payments are non-refundable.
Amenities
Van Stadens River Mouth Resort is a hidden gem of the Eastern Cape. It is situated about halfway between Port Elizabeth and Jeffreys Bay - only 40 minutes’ drive from Port Elizabeth Airport/CBD and 20 minutes from Baywest Mall.
This is an ideal spot for a picnic or braai. There are 30 Picnic Spots to be booked. All situated in front of the lagoon. Each has a built-in braai and a wooden picnic table. Bring your own Braai-grid, gazebo or umbrella!
There is a children's play area, and they are welcome to bring their bicycles. Bring your camera and binoculars!
Pedal-boats, sand-boards & canoes can be hired - (Cash only).
Take a long walk and enjoy our bird life, or the tranquil solitude of our lovely beach. Come fishing. You could even fly a kite!
The Tuck Shop & Take-Away is open over weekends and at peak times.
